AMI Director of Training (0–3)
Ms. Julia Hilson is the AMI Director of Training (0–3), an AMI Trainer, and an international Montessori consultant with more than 30 years of experience in Montessori education across the United Kingdom, Australia, and around the world.
She holds AMI Diplomas at three levels of Montessori education: Assistants to Infancy (0–3), Primary (3–6), and Elementary (6–12), providing her with a comprehensive understanding of children's development across the early years and elementary stage.
Throughout her career, she has served as a Montessori teacher educator, AMI examiner, and international consultant, supporting teacher preparation programs and Montessori initiatives in diverse educational settings.
Ms. Hilson currently serves as AMI Director of Training (0–3) for Australia, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Vietnam, and Japan, leading AMI teacher education programmes and mentoring Montessori communities across multiple regions.
Her broad international experience has shaped a training approach that integrates authentic Montessori philosophy, rigorous professional standards, and practical classroom application to support educators in today's educational landscape.
Through her work in training, examining, and consultancy, Ms. Hilson continues to strengthen the global Montessori community while advancing the mission of authentic AMI Montessori education and promoting learning environments that respect each child's natural development and unique potential.
